河南工业大学法学院源自2003年成立的法学系，2005年更名为法学院。学院是河南省首批应用型复合型卓越法律人才教育培养基地，河南省本科高校涉外法治人才协同培养创新基地。学院坚持立德树人、追求卓越的办学理念，建设高质量的法学院、培养有情怀的法律人。

学院学科特色鲜明。法学学科为河南省法学一级重点学科，近5年获批国家级科研项目11项。拥有法学一级学科硕士点和知识产权专业硕士点；法学专业为河南省一流本科专业、河南工业大学“优培工程”专业。

学院学术机构齐全。学院设有知识产权研究中心、粮食政策与法律研究所、监察法治研究中心、疑难案件研究中心、企业法务研究中心、习近平法治思想研究中心、法律诊所等学术研究和咨询服务机构。

学院师资力量雄厚。建设有知识产权法学、经济法学、食品安全刑法保护、粮食法治、国际法学等学科团队，高级职称占比40%，博士教师占比90%，河南省委法律专家库成员3人，省委办公厅法律顾问1人，省政府法律顾问专家库成员1人，省教学标兵3人，省知识产权高层次人才2人；省高校科技创新人才1人，省教育厅学术技术带头人2人，研究生导师占专任教师总数的50%。

教学科研条件优越。学院在法院、检察院、律师事务所等实务领域共建教学科研基地10余家，为学生素质提升和能力拓展提供了平台。学院建有全省最先进的智慧模拟法庭，为学生模拟审判提供了智能空间，能满足人工智能时代的真实庭审需求。

学院育人质量卓越。每年有50%以上的研究生考取公务员，7%的本科毕业生考取公务员，10%以上的本科毕业生参加“西部计划”，25%以上的本科毕业生考取硕士研究生，30%以上的学生通过法律职业资格考试。

The Overview of School of Law, Henan University of Technology

The School of Law at Henan University of Technology originated from the Department of Law established in 2003 and was renamed the School of Law in 2005. It is among the first bases in Henan Province for cultivating outstanding application-oriented and interdisciplinary legal talents, as well as an innovation base for the collaborative training of foreign-related rule-of-law talents among undergraduate universities in Henan Province. Adhering to the educational philosophy of fostering virtue through education and pursuing excellence, the School is committed to building a high-quality law school and nurturing compassionate legal professionals.

The School boasts distinctive disciplinary features. The Law discipline is a first-level key discipline of law in Henan Province. Over the past five years, it has been approved for 11 national-level research projects. The School offers a master’s degree program in the first-level discipline of Law and a professional master’s degree program in Intellectual Property; the Law major is a Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program in Henan and a program under Henan University of Technology’s “You Pei” Project.

The School has a complete set of academic institutions. It has established academic research and consulting service institutions including the Intellectual Property Research Center, Institute of Grain Policy and Law, Research Center for Supervision and Rule of Law, Research Center for Complex Cases, Corporate Legal Affairs Research Center, Research Center on Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, and Legal Clinic.

The School has a strong faculty. It has built disciplinary teams in Intellectual Property Law, Economic Law, Criminal Protection of Food Safety, Grain Rule of Law, and International Law. Among the faculty, 40% hold senior professional titles, and 90% are doctoral degree holders. There are 3 members of the Legal Expert Database of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, 1 legal advisor to the General Office of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, 1 member of the Legal Advisor Expert Database of Henan Provincial People’s Government, 3 provincial teaching pacesetters, 2 high-level intellectual property talents in Henan Province; 1 university science and technology innovation talent in Henan Province, 2 academic and technical leaders of Henan Provincial Department of Education, and graduate supervisors account for 50% of the total full-time faculty.

The School enjoys superior teaching and research conditions. It has jointly built more than 10 teaching and research bases with practical institutions such as courts, procuratorates, and law firms, providing a platform for students to enhance their qualities and expand their capabilities. The School has constructed the most advanced intelligent moot court in Henan Province, which provides an intelligent space for students’ simulated trials and can meet the needs of real court proceedings in the era of artificial intelligence.

The School has achieved outstanding talent cultivation outcomes. Each year, more than 50% of postgraduates pass the national civil service examination, 7% of undergraduate graduates pass the national civil service examination, more than 10% of undergraduate graduates participate in the “University Student Volunteer Service West Program”, over 25% of undergraduate graduates are admitted to master’s programs, and more than 30% of students pass the National Legal Professional Qualification Examination.
